Hong Kong drug-packer arrested with 350kg of 'ice' in Bangkok

A Hong Kong-Chinese man, 26, was arrested and 350 kilogrammes of crystal methamphetamine, or "ice", worth about 700 million baht, seized by police at a house in Min Buri district, Bangkok, on Monday night.
Huang Yuguan was arrested at a house on Rom Klao 11 Road. Police acted on information that a Hong Kong gang was using the house for storing drugs before smuggling them on to a third country.
Police also impounded plastic bags, paper boxes, digital scales, blenders, sealing devices, suitcases and plastic containers found at the house.
The seized drugs had an estimated value of 700 million baht.
The suspect arrived as a tourist from Kuala Lumpur on Sept 14. Accomplices opened the house for him and he was allegedly tasked with packing the drugs for onward smuggling. The suspect allegedly admitted he was being paid 20,000 Hong Kong dollars (about 85,000 baht) to do the job.
