SET-listed Central Pattana (CPN) is investing around 800 million baht to host its year-end “A Celebration of Wonders 2027” campaign at Central malls across Thailand.

CPN partnered with Disney Thailand for the campaign, which features festive photo zones, displays and retail pop-ups inspired by Disney and Pixar stories.

Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, chief marketing officer at CPN, said the company expects the campaign to boost foot traffic by 30% compared to the normal year-round average.

CPN malls welcome a combined total of roughly 1.4 million visitors daily.

For the fourth quarter, foreign tourists typically account for up to half of visitors at CentralWorld, including weekend travellers from Hong Kong and Singapore, along with visitors from China, Europe and the Middle East.

Mr Nattakit said the 800-million-baht investment excludes its New Year’s Countdown event.

The Thai tourism sector is optimistic about the year-end period as the nation remains a top destination for overseas visitors, thanks to events and activities such as Vijit Chao Phraya 2026 in November and December and the Tomorrowland music festival in December, he noted.

The CPN-Disney campaign runs from Oct 30 to Jan 3, 2027 at Central malls nationwide. Highlights include a celebration of 100 years of Winnie the Pooh at 38 malls and a special pop-up marking the 75th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland at Central Park in Bangkok and Central Phuket.

At CentralWorld, a Disney Pixar event features four themed zones spanning 4,000 square metres, from Nov 12 to Jan 3.

One zone dubbed “The City of Fun & Friendship” is inspired by 40 years of Pixar storytelling, showcasing stories from films such as Monsters Inc., Toy Story and Up.

CPN is also collaborating with the Tourism Authority of Thailand for the sixth consecutive year on Local Pride Christmas Trees. This year’s events feature Winnie the Pooh-themed art installations at six Central malls: Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai Airport, Ayutthaya, Salaya, Si Racha and Surat Thani.

The installations are co-created with local artists and communities. The company also unveiled one of Southeast Asia’s largest Christmas trees, showcasing its first new design in two decades.
