ThaiBev chief puts sustainability at heart of corporate growth

Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi has redefined ThaiBev’s leadership vision by placing sustainability at the core of the company’s growth strategy.

With the “Passion 2030” framework as his guiding philosophy, he is transforming ThaiBev into not just a beverage powerhouse but also a key player in driving sustainable development across the region.

The “Passion 2030” initiative connects ThaiBev’s growth with long-term social and environmental value. By integrating digital transformation, regional expansion and product innovation with the principles of inclusivity, efficiency and transparency, Mr. Thapana ensures that sustainability is woven into every facet of the business from sourcing and production to marketing and community engagement.

For him, sustainability is not a side initiative, but a business imperative. He has steered the company to harmonise financial success with environmental responsibilities, circular production, and inclusive value creation.

Under his leadership, ThaiBev continues to align its operations with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Thailand’s national strategy for achieving net-zero emissions.

The group has prioritised operational excellence through energy efficiency, renewable energy adoption, and carbon footprint reduction. ThaiBev’s facilities across Thailand and its neighbouring countries are being upgraded to reduce waste and emissions while improving resource use.

A major pillar of Mr. Thapana’s leadership is supplier collaboration. ThaiBev’s supply chain strategy emphasises fair labour, environmental responsibility, and ethical business practices. The implementation of a supplier code of conduct and a review system addresses key environmental, social and governance (ESG) areas such as climate, water, human rights and occupational safety. Through supplier training and audits, ThaiBev ensures that sustainability principles extend beyond its own operations.

Continuing his commitment to sustainability, Mr. Thapana is at the forefront of Sustainable Expo (SX), Southeast Asia’s largest sustainability-focused event. The expo brings together government agencies, the private sector and civil society to foster collaboration on critical sustainability issues, including carbon emission reduction, environmental protection, and the role of technology in achieving these goals.

This year, SX 2025 made history with more than 900,000 visitors, both onsite and online. The event reaffirmed the success of its core message, “Sufficiency for Sustainability,” among a diverse audience.
