Junji Ito haunted house returns next month

A haunted house centred on the works of Japanese manga artist Junji Ito will come back as "Junji Ito Collection Horror House" on the fourth floor of MBK Center from Oct 10 to Jan 5, 2026, from 11am to 9pm.

Following “Junji Ito Horror House in Thailand 2023”, Ito's first haunted house in Thailand, Japan Anime Movie Thailand, in conjunction with Fivestar Agency and Muse Communication, will revive the horror house for fans of cat-loving Ito, who has a cult following worldwide for his macabre, Lovecraftian and unsettling horror universe.

This time around, the organisers claim that it'll be scarier than ever. Four of Ito's most iconic characters will play the pivotal roles in frightening visitors. They are immortal, succubus-esque Tomie, nails-in-mouth weirdo Soichi, gigantic “model” Fuchi and mysterious Pretty Boy.

The exhibition is split into two routes, namely Farewell City and Horror Town. Both routes lead to a special zone where original works by Ito are on display. Of course, the horror house will be capped off with a merchandise zone and a cafe.

Shop for official merch and limited edition Thailand exclusives, especially the Junji Ito x Sanrio collection, which will be on sale from Oct 11-16 for ticketholders first before it goes on sale for the public from Oct 17.

The 3,000 early bird tickets via Ticketmelon are available until Sept 19, but can only be used in Oct. A VIP ticket comes with access to both routes, two masks, a calendar, one drink at the cafe, fast tracking and a poster. Normal tickets for both routes come with two masks and a poster.
