Anniversary exhibition / Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok Art Space By Moca Bangkok / Oct 16 to Jan 31, 2027
Art is never created in isolation. Every generation draws from what came before, reinterpreting inherited ideas through new perspectives, experiences, and cultural influences. This enduring exchange lies at the heart of “Continuum” a new exhibition presented by Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok Art Space By Moca Bangkok in celebration of its sixth anniversary. Bringing together seminal works by Thailand’s modern masters and newly created pieces by contemporary artists, the exhibition explores how artistic ideas transcend generations, evolve over time, and continue to shape Thailand’s cultural identity. At the centre are works by seven Thai artists — Pratuang Emjaroen, Thawan Duchanee, Sompong Adulyasaraphan, Ithipol Thangchalok, Suchao Sisganes, Praphan Srisouta and Chalermchai Kositpipat. Their works serve as creative starting points for 14 contemporary artists, all of whom have previously exhibited at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok Art Space By Moca Bangkok. Marking the 21st exhibition at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok Art Space By Moca Bangkok, "Continuum" also represents a significant milestone in the space’s six-year journey as a platform for artistic exchange and cultural discovery. Art residency / Bangkok University Gallery / Oct 19 to Nov 25
Following a two-month residency at Bangkok University, artist Miranda Housden presents "Confluent", an exhibition exploring the meeting of Thai and Western mythologies, water, landscape and human activity, hybrid creatures and the passage between worlds. Developed during a period of severe flooding in Bangkok, "Confluent" builds on Housden’s long-standing interest in how people live alongside water and attempt to shape, use and contain it. The work moves between the everyday rhythms of estuaries, rivers and canals and the disruption caused when water exceeds the boundaries created for it. The exhibition brings together painting, sculpture and moving image with research into Thai Buddhist cosmology and the mythical hybrid creatures of the Himaphan forest. New works include a golden swan connecting Thai and Western associations with the bird, water and spiritual passage, and a golden crab with an elephant’s trunk drawing on mangrove and marine life around Chon Buri alongside the hybrid forms of Thai mythology. The film "Swansong" projects close-up images of a dancer’s hands exploring a sculpted swan onto moving water, creating a shifting presence that appears and disappears across the surface.

Coffee may be an everyday ritual, but every culture has its own way of enjoying it. Until Oct 31, Craft at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok celebrates "International Coffee Month" with seven coffee creations inspired by seven countries. From Austria, a rendition on the Wiener Melange keeps things smooth with espresso, milk and vanilla syrup. Thailand’s Oliang Grass Jelly layers traditional Thai-style black coffee, or “Oliang”, with palm sugar, condensed milk, grass jelly and brown sugar. Italy’s Mochaccino takes a more indulgent turn with chocolate ganache and mascarpone, while the Greek Freddo Cappuccino pairs a double espresso shot with milk foam and chocolate powder. Rüdesheimer Kaffee from Germany adds Hennessy VS cognac, brown sugar, whipped cream and chocolate to espresso. Peru’s Café Pasado puts the focus back on the coffee itself with Peruvian-style drip coffee made using Ayuri Geisha Washed beans from San Ignacio. One for the purists, Venezuela’s Guayoyo keeps things simpler still with its traditional style of black coffee.

For a richer opening, Seared duck foie gras with chanterelles, hazelnut, Madeira and hibiscus sauce brings together contrasting textures and tastes. Hazelnut adds a toasted note, while hibiscus lends tartness to balance the foie gras. The seafood offering takes a lighter, citrus-led direction. Lobster ravioli with chanterelles and lobster-yuzu broth pairs the sweetness of lobster with fragrant yuzu, adding another dimension to the seasonal mushroom. Completing the selection, Gundagai Lamb with goat’s cheese, chanterelles, black truffle and chamomile gel offers a robust main course. Goat’s cheese and black truffle provide savoury depth, with chamomile introducing a floral accent.
