Digital dystopia

Re: "Thai govt issues new rules for SIM cards", (BP, Aug 21).

The globalists are in a hurry to exploit the present zombie-like condition of the Thai government to continue to roll out their egregious assault on personal freedoms here. First, it was bank privacy invasion and control. Now, it is the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) that is implementing "Liveness detection technology nationwide".

Instead of using advanced technology to combat the scammers, they have thrown the blanket of control over the whole population, hoping to catch a few (no more than usual will be caught), allowing them to have more control over everyone. Don't be fooled. The final act of war against us will be heralded by the rollout of CBDCs and the retirement of the cash-based system.

A social credit system will soon be implemented. Thailand will be the new China, at the mercy of authoritarian, selfish people from hell. Look how well that is working out. "No one owns anything, but everyone will be happy" is their disingenuous promise. No culture, no religion, no personal, all replaced by the worship of money and every waking hour spent trying to make a living or, for the very few, trying to get rich. Beware, this will come unless people wake up in opposition now.

Gaza media spin

Re: "Gaza in despair as UN declares famine", (World, Aug 25).

I have been following the news for more than 60 years, and when there are conflicting reports regarding the situation in the Middle East, Israel eventually turns out to be the one telling the truth nearly all of the time. Also, the UN and UNRWA reported a famine last year which did not exist.

So if there is a famine, why did the media print pictures of supposedly starving children who later turned out to be suffering from rare illnesses, and why did local journalists repeatedly stage phoney starvation scenes?

In any event, Gaza started the war. If these institutions are really so concerned, why don't they work towards securing the release of the hostages?

Tibet reminder

Re: "Embassy request", and "Xi makes rare state visit to Tibet", (PostBag, Aug 25, & Asia, Aug 22).

Hou Pei from the Chinese Embassy is in a great hurry for the world to formally forget what the Chinese did in Tibet. To remind readers, one of the greatest Buddhist cultures in the world had been undermined and controlled. Xizang Autonomous province is no longer autonomous, nor will it ever become independent if China has its way.

Emperor for life Xi Jinping has been announced to lead the annual military parade in Beijing in a few short days. Since his ascension to the Dragon Throne, Xi has purged more than 200 generals and top leaders in the military. Thus, it will be interesting to see what happens during the display of military might.

Perhaps Hou Pei would like to address these pressing problems with some factual news. Or is Thailand about to become an autonomous region as well?
