Zakharkina rules Tour, hot Thi That storms home

Valeriya Zakharkina triumphed at the Princess Maha Chakrit Sirindhorn's Cup Women's Tour of Thailand 2026 on Thursday, while Nguyen Thi That claimed the final stage victory.

Zakharkina of GNC-FNIX Girl Power Cycling Team topped the general classification in 7:13.07, four seconds ahead of China's Zhu Shimeng of Li-Ning Star Ladies Team and 12 seconds ahead of Thi That of the Vietnam national team.

Defending champion Jutatip Maneephan of Thailand Women's Cycling Team finished fourth overall, 13 seconds behind Zakharkina. China's Jin Chenhong of XDS China Women Team was fifth overall.

Stage winner Thi That finished with a time of 1:54.37 hours, edging out Jutatip Maneephan and China's Su Ning of Bodywrap LTwoo Women's Cycling Team over the line in a thrilling sprint finale on Thursday.

Thi That also took home the Best Asean Rider award (purple jersey) and the Best Sprinter Classification award (green jersey).

Jutatip and Elizabeth Le Min Liau of the Singapore national team finished second and third respectively in the Best Asean Rider category.

Zakharkina took control of the race after winning Tuesday's opening stage and never relinquished her position at the top of the overall standings of the three-day race.

Jutatip won the intermediate sprints (IS1) while Kazakhstan's Yalizaveta Sklyarova topped the IS2. The Kazakh rider also won the Most Combative Rider award.

Li-Ning Star Ladies Team from China won the overall team title with a total time of 21:40.27 hours. GNC-FNIX Girl Power Cycling Team, also from China, were second in 21:40.27 and the Indonesia national team took third place in 21:40.45 hours.

The Best Asean Team award went to Indonesia while Standard Insurance Philippines were second and Thailand Women's Cycling Team took the third place.

Thursday's 81.90km third and final stage took place between Si Chiang Mai and Nong Khai Main Stadium.
