Defending champions Buriram United showed no mercy as they thrashed Ayutthaya United 5‑0 in the FA Cup semi‑final at PAT Stadium on Sunday night.
The Thunder Castle booked their place in the final against PT Prachuap, who edged Lamphun Warriors 1‑0 in the other semi-final.
Buriram struck first in the 17th minute when Emmanuel Toku's long‑range effort cannoned off the post and fell kindly to Sandy Walsh, who finished from close range.
Suphanat Mueanta threatened soon after but was denied by a last‑ditch clearance. Walsh doubled the lead before half‑time, sweeping home after Suphanat's clever back‑heel.
The holders remained in control after the interval. Kingsley Schindler added a third in the 63rd minute, before Supachai Chaided rifled home from distance nine minutes later. Robert Zulj completed the rout with a late strike to seal a comprehensive 5‑0 victory.
Head coach Mark Jackson praised his side's performance.
"I'm pleased we qualified for the final. We've had a tight schedule but today the squad showed its strength. Everyone delivered a great performance," he said.
Looking ahead, Jackson added: "We've faced PT Prachuap this season and will analyse them carefully as we prepare for the final.. But first our focus is on the Shopee Cup final against Selangor. Our target is to win that competition, though we will not forget the FA Cup final."
Buriram face Selangor in the first leg of the Asean Club Shopee Cup Championship at Petaling Jaya Stadium in Malaysia on Wednesday.
In the other semi‑final at Nonthaburi Stadium, PT Prachuap marched into the final thanks to Bernardo Estevao's decisive strike in the 74th minute. The Killer Wasps held firm to secure their place in the showpiece.
The FA Cup final between Buriram United and PT Prachuap FC will be played on May 31.
The winners will receive five million baht and a berth in the AFC Champions League Elite, while the runners‑up will receive one million baht.
