The Thai army used tank main guns to destroy a casino building in Cambodia, just across the border from Sa Kaeo, on Tuesday - a day after a Thai air force F-16 bombed a different casino building also being used by the Cambodian military.
The 1st Army Region said on Tuesday afternoon that the 11th special unit of the Burapa Task Force used tanks to destroy a casino in Cambodia near the Ban Ta Phraya temporary border crossing.
The statement said the casino building was used to store artillery, machine guns and other weapons used to attack Thailand.
On Monday a Thai F-16 fighter jet bombed a Cambodian casino across the border opposite the northeastern province of Ubon Ratchathani. The Thai army said that the building was previously deserted and was used as a drone command centre.
The 1st Army also reported that Cambodian artillery shells hit two Thai houses in Ban Khok Thahan in tambon Thap Sadet of Sa Kaeo about 1am on Tuesday. There were no casualties.
