PATTAYA: Local people have complained about public indecencies along Pattaya beach with the latest incident being four couples engaging in sex in the water, earlier this week.

A 44-year-old Thai man, who identified himself as Mon, said on Wednesday that four foreign couples, who appeared intoxicated, were engaged in sexual acts in the Pattaya bay near the beach between 3-4am on Monday.

They hugged, kissed and moved as if they were having sex under water, ignoring people who kept asking them to stop, he said.

Locals, along with Mr Mon, took pictures and videos of the couples.

“They seriously ruined the image of Pattaya City,” Mr Mon said, adding he had to take pictures so that he could use them as evidence for officials to take legal action.

Such repeated public indecencies by visitors in Pattaya damage the tourism image of the city, Mr Mon added.
