Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul will visit France from Thursday to May 27 to strengthen bilateral ties and attract French investment in key industries, particularly aviation, clean energy and defence.
Government spokeswoman Rachada Dhnadirek said the prime minister will meet French leaders and senior figures from multiple sectors during the official visit.
The highlight of the trip will be a working dinner between Mr Anutin and French President Emmanuel Macron, during which both sides are expected to discuss elevating Thai-French relations to a strategic partnership.
The trip comes as Thailand and France mark the 170th anniversary of their formal diplomatic relations this year.
The government said the talks will focus on expanding cooperation in trade and investment, energy, transport, defence and the aviation sector.
During the visit, Mr Anutin is also expected to meet the executive director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) to discuss energy security cooperation.
He will also hold talks with the director-general of Unesco to build on discussions held earlier this month and promote Thai culture on the global stage.
The government said Thailand will push for the inclusion of the traditional Thai costume, known as "Chud Thai", on Unesco's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity later this year.
Officials believe the recognition could help boost Thailand's creative economy, including fashion, handicrafts, tourism and the country's international soft power.
