12 Thais back, 27 sent home

SA KAEO: Authorities have received 12 Thais repatriated from Cambodia and sent home 27 Cambodians who had completed legal proceedings in Thailand.

The handover took place at the Ban Khlong Luek permanent border checkpoint in Aranyaprathet district on Friday.

The 12 Thais were processed under immigration procedures and the National Referral Mechanism to determine their needs.

The 27 Cambodians were deported under the Immigration Act after serving their penalties.

The operation involved the army, police, local agencies and the foreign, interior, labour and social development ministries.
