Former beauty queen Peraya Malisorn, better known as Faye or by her stage name Faye Peraya, and sometimes credited as Supaporn Malisorn, quickly rose to prominence in Thailand after her leading role in the hugely successful 2024 miniseries, Blank. The show follows two women who navigate a romantic relationship with a 16-year age gap.

Thailand is one of the friendliest Asian countries when it comes to LGBTQQIP2SAA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, pansexual, two-spirit, androgynous and asexual acceptance). The region is well known for its many BL (boys' love) drama series such as KinnPorsche and 2gether, which ushered local celebrities into the international limelight. Despite this, Faye is one of the few openly queer actresses to have starred in a GL (girls' love) series.

Here is everything to know about Faye Peraya.

She's a beauty queen turned actress

Faye, 30, is a former beauty pageant winner who was crowned Miss Grand Thailand in 2016. She went on to represent Thailand at Miss Grand International 2016, which was held in the United States, and placed second runner-up.

"[Leaving home to compete] was the hardest decision I ever made," Faye told Grazia Singapore. "I had to prove to myself that I could do it."

When she returned to Thailand in 2017, she pivoted to acting and made her debut in the romantic drama series, Mussaya. Since then, the actress has made appearances in several shows, including Song Naree (2019) and Hak Lai, My Lady (2023). Her breakthrough role was in Blank, where she plays Nueng, the older female lead who falls in love with a girl around 20 years old.

She's a businesswoman

Aside from her flourishing showbiz career, Faye is also a savvy businesswoman who founded her own entertainment company Fabel Entertainment. The decision to run her own company arose from her desire to reach a wider international audience, as well as to gain more creative freedom, per Harper's Bazaar Singapore.

She has her own clothing line

Faye is a true multi-hyphenate: she also launched her own clothing line Millions Max, a minimalist streetwear brand, earlier this year. The Twist of Fate actress also has plans to launch a new beauty salon, as per Grazia Singapore.

According to Harper's Bazaar Singapore, Faye trained at the Sassoon Academy Beauty School and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok.

She is queer

Faye discusses her sexuality in a video posted by Y.entertainment in 2023. "Yes, I've hooked up with women before … I hooked up with women before men, actually," she said.

Her first relationship was during her first year of college and lasted five years. "Now, she's already married and has kids," Faye said of her ex, according to the video's subtitles. "When I'm in a relationship with a woman, I feel like there are certain femininities, like the gentleness and tenderness. We curled our hair and put on mascara for each other … I felt so happy with that relationship."
