Renowned police cardiologist becomes fellow of American College of Cardiology

Pol Maj Gen Dr Kasem Ratanasumawong, deputy director-general of Police General Hospital and president of the Heart Association of Thailand, becomes a fellow of American College of Cardiology.

Pol Maj Gen Dr Kasem, aged 59, is a distinguished cardiologist with a background in internal medicine and cardiology. He graduated with an MD and is an internal medicine and cardiology fellow at Chulalongkorn University and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital.

Police General Hospital said “Fellow of American College of Cardiology” (FACC) was an honorable status in the circle of worldwide cardiologists and proved the status holders’ cardiovascular excellence, professional leadership and important roles in the development of medical treatment for cardiovascular patients.

The FACC convocation was organised during the Annual Scientific Session & Expo of the college in New Orleans from March 28 to 30, 2026.
