The campaign reaffirms MK's leadership in the market with its unique ability to connect significant moments with customers in a way that only MK can. It invites people to reflect on the moments of joy, smiles, and warmth shared with the brand from the beginning to present. In celebration of this milestone, MK Restaurants is launching special menu items and a concept store for everyone to experience once again.
To mark this special occasion, MK Restaurants has prepared three key highlights to offer the ultimate experience:
- Reconnect the Memory Campaign through the "Memory Frame" symbol: MK believes that every meal is a significant moment for families. This campaign brings back the iconic "MK Frame", a symbol of memories that the brand has been sharing with customers for years. The campaign will display vintage frames and customer photos on digital billboards nationwide to evoke nostalgia. These images will also be shared in commercials featuring real customers who will take you on a journey back to those warm moments.
- Launch of the "Original Family Set" To bring happiness to every Thai family, MK has prepared a special menu item, the "Original Family Set", which brings together original flavours everyone remembers. The set includes classic dishes such as traditional suki, legendary MK roast duck, jade noodles, and a vegetable set, designed for family sharing across generations. Available at all MK Restaurants nationwide.
- A Time Travel Phenomenon at the "MK Original" Concept Store: The highlight of the 40th-anniversary celebration is the transformation of the first-ever MK Restaurants branch at Central Ladprao into the "MK Original" concept store. This special store brings customers back to the brand’s early days with:
- Retro store decor inspired by the first branch's ambiance, featuring Chinese-style pavilions, jade-coloured tables, and neon lights.
- The return of the "Dim Sum Cart", offering hot dim sum directly to customers at their tables, along with nostalgic items like deep-fried dough, seaweed-wrapped shrimp, and other dim sum treats.
- Exclusive nostalgic menu items only available here, including the traditional hot pot (adapted for safety and standards), favourite sukiyaki dishes like sweet fish, seasoned pork, and shrimp, sizzling dishes such as Korean-style pork, clay pot rice, roasted pork, and Shanghai noodles, along with desserts like jelly ice cream and banana split.
- Analog Service (Human Touch): Orders will be taken with paper menus just like they were 40 years ago, with MK's original staff welcoming guests warmly.
- Classic Uniforms: The return of the original uniforms worn by MK's first employees, making them available again to greet guests.
- Vintage Dishware: Chinese-patterned plates and ceramic chopsticks, just like those used at the first MK branch.
