Bangkok, 20 May 2026 – Mahindra South East Asia Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, today launched the Mahindra 5042 multi-purpose tractor at AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2026, held in Thailand from 20–22 May 2026
Powered by the new-generation mBULL engine, the new Mahindra 5042 is engineered to provide strong pulling power while maintaining fuel efficiency. The new tractor highlights advanced engine performance and has been developed to reduce operating costs, while improving productivity across varied agricultural applications, including field farming, rice cultivation, and horticulture.
At AGRITECHNICA ASIA 2026, the new tractor is being introduced for the ASEAN region for the first time, with launches planned starting in Thailand.

Designed to improve operational efficiency and productivity, the Mahindra 5042 is a 42-horsepower tractor from the Mahindra 5000 Series. Equipped with a new 3-cylinder mBULL engine and HCE (High Cubic Capacity Engine) technology, the new tractor delivers maximum torque of 191 Nm and a lifting capacity of up to 1.7 tonnes.
Capable of operating across a wide range of terrains, including lowland and upland areas such as farms, rice fields, and orchards, the new Mahindra tractor allows farmers to adapt to different working conditions, managing productivity more effectively amid increasing climate variability.
At Agritechnica 2026, Mahindra also showcased other tractor models, including the OJA 2130, a compact 30-horsepower tractor designed for high manoeuvrability and precision, suitable for farms and orchards, and the 110 P Lux CAB, a 110-horsepower tractor with an air-conditioned cabin and 4-cylinder engine delivering up to 416 Nm of torque, suitable for large-scale agricultural operations such as livestock and plantation farming.
Since entering the market in 2024, Mahindra has implemented an active expansion strategy, using Thailand as a base to strengthen its regional operations. The company has formed financial partnerships with TISCO Leasing Co., Ltd. and Krungthai Mizuho Leasing Co., Ltd. to improve farmers’ access to financing.
