PTT Group Drives Thailand’s Hub Ambition at Gastech 2026

PTT Group showcases Thailand's energy potential at Gastech 2026 (Sept 14 to 17 at Bitec, Bangkok), supporting the country as a regional energy hub and a key global liquefied natural gas (LNG) player. Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Energy Minister Akanat Promphan joined senior officials at the opening of PTT’s exhibition.

Kongkrapan Intarajang, CEO and President of PTT Plc, highlighted PTT’s commitment to navigating global market volatility through the Energy Trilemma—balancing security, affordability and sustainability. He emphasised natural gas and LNG as essential "destination fuels" supporting renewable integration, backed by robust cross-border pipeline networks and infrastructure.

Highlights of PTT Group’s strategy:

Infrastructure leadership: PTTEP operates across 10 countries, supplying gas through PTT’s 4,500-kilometre pipeline network to two LNG terminals managed by PTTLNG, capable of handling 19 million tonnes per year with 100% reliability.

• Global LNG Expansion: PTT is scaling its international portfolio targeting 3.7 million tonnes in 2026, 10 million tonnes by 2030, and 15 million tonnes by 2035, separate from long-term LNG supply contracts totalling 6.2 million tonnes per year for domestic demand..
• Decarbonisation & Innovation: Advancing PTTEP’s Arthit CCS project, Thailand’s first carbon Ccpture and storage, with a planned capacity of up to 1 million tonnes of CO₂ per year, alongside the I-SPARK low-carbon ecosystem in Rayong province and AI-driven smart energy solutions to achieve Net Zero targets.
