Indigenous Perspectives on Fashion and Sustainability

REMADE WITH PURPOSE brings together four Maori fashion designers and creatives to share their approaches to sustainability, circular fashion and creative practice through an Indigenous lens. Through presentations, personal insights and a live collaborative fashion demonstration, they explore how existing garments and materials can be reimagined, reconstructed and given new purpose. Drawing on their cultural knowledge and experiences as Maori designers and business owners, they reflect on the relationship between fashion, culture, sustainability and the value we place on the materials we use.
