One helicopter plummeted onto the parking lot of an electric car dealership, starting a fire that damaged at least 20 vehicles. The other crashed to the ground about 100 metres away.

Tree had performed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on June 4 and  posted a video of himself playing soccer in Brazil on Saturday, the day before he was killed.

He had just completed the São Paulo stop of his The World’s First World Tour, ahead of the European leg scheduled to begin in July.

Friends in the industry mourned his death. Kid Cudi posted a message saying “Spoke to Oliver a few weeks ago. This is heartbreaking. A really amazing and beautiful human. This sh*t sucks bad. Sending all my prayers and love to the families dealing with losses. Oliver we love you, forever.”

Singer Melanie Martinez, who once dated Tree, also shared on her Instagram story “Rest in peace Oliver. I know you’re making the angels giggle. I’ll be here wondering what stunt and creative project you’re scheming up in heaven. All my love.”

Gaspi, who had over 2.8 million followers on YouTube, was also mourned with love and sadness. Argentine streaming channel Blender posted on its X account,“Thanks for your art, your magic and your sensibility, every one of us will miss you.”
