Mariah Carey returns to Bangkok in October

Thai Lambily recently gathered at the press conference of "Mariah Carey: The Celebration of Mimi – Live in Bangkok” at Siam Paragon's Fashion Hall by Thonburi Panich Group and Maximage Group, which was responsible for "Hitman David Foster And Friends Bangkok 2023".

Despite the concert being announced in March, ticket details were revealed at the pink carpet event. Among the attendees were Thai celebrity lambs such as Tata Young and Ice Paris, who gave their renditions of Mariah Carey hits. Tata delivered Dreamlover and Hero, while Ice performed We Belong Together and Without You. We already knew Tata could sing, but Ice surprised attendees with his impressive take on Without You. The concert will be the American singer-songwriter extraordinaire's return to Thailand since "Mariah Carey: Live in Concert" in 2018. Named after her fifth concert residency at the Dolby Live, "Mariah Carey: The Celebration of Mimi – Live in Bangkok” is part of a concert tour with dates in Asia, Australia, the UK and the US.

Judging from the setlist at the kickoff show at China's Shenzhen Stadium on May 10, lambs can expect a 22-song full-on setlist across five acts, discounting interludes. It will take fans through her No.1 hits from different eras from her self-titled debut album, her magnum opus Butterfly, her tenth studio album The Emancipation Of Mimi (whose title inspires the tour, obviously) and up to Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel.

Her latest single, Type Dangerous, from her upcoming sixteenth studio album, became her 50th song on the Billboard Hot 100 when it dropped last month (clap for a prolific diva). Let's keep our fingers crossed that she performs it live for lambs in Thailand.

Tickets to see "Mariah Carey: The Celebration Of Mimi - Live In Bangkok" at Impact Challenger Hall on Oct 11 will be available on July 18 for VIP presale, while general sale starts from July 19 via Thai Ticket Major. The priciest ticket costs 20 grey notes but comes with a special souvenir (we asked what exactly it is, but they wouldn't divulge).
