Five new releases that hit cinemas in Thailand this week.

Sawt Hind Rajab (The Voice Of Hind Rajab)
Directed by Kaouther Ben Hania.
Who’s in it?
Saja Kilani, Motaz Malhees and Amer Hlehel.
What’s it about?
Red Crescent volunteers receive an emergency call. A six-year-old girl is trapped in a car under IDF fire in Gaza, pleading for rescue. While trying to keep her on the line, they do everything they can to get an ambulance to her.
Why watch it?
Hind Rajab doesn't appear in the film, only the recording of her real phone call to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (Palestine's emergency service) is featured in it. Director Hania said she decided not to have an actress portraying Rajab out of respect. She also had the support of Rajab's mother to make the film.

Hoppers
Directed by Daniel Chong.
Who’s in it?
Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan and Jon Hamm.
What’s it about?
A 19-year-old animal lover uses technology that places her consciousness into a robotic beaver to uncover mysteries within the animal world beyond her imagination.
Why watch it?
Chong's first involvement in something related to Pixar that's a feature length film, after having previously worked on TV specials.

The Bride!
Directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal.
Who’s in it?
Jessie Buckley, Jake Gyllenhaal and Christian Bale.
What’s it about?
In 1930s Chicago, Frankenstein asks Dr. Euphronius to help create a companion. They give life to a murdered woman as the Bride, sparking romance, police interest and radical social change.
Why watch it?
The film contains some visual homages to Fritz Lang's “Metropolis” (1927). Brigitte Helm ("Maria") was an inspiration for “The Bride” and had been considered by James Whale for the part in “The Bride Of Frankenstein” (1935), but she turned it down.

Enhypen [Walk The Line Summer Edition] In Cinemas

What’s it about?

If I Had Legs I'd Kick You
Directed by Mary Bronstein.
Who’s in it?
Rose Byrne, Conan O'Brien and Danielle Macdonald.
What’s it about?
While trying to manage her own life and career, a woman on the verge of a breakdown must cope with her daughter's illness, an absent husband, a missing person, and an unusual relationship with her therapist.
Why watch it?
The hamster scene was inspired by a real incident involving director Mary Bronstein's child, which she later adapted and heightened for the film.
