Dinner continues one level above at Red Sky Restaurant on the 55th floor. Guests may choose between King salmon served with lemon gel, asparagus and butter sauce, or Steak frites featuring an in-house dry-aged Black Angus New York steak with French fries and Béarnaise sauce.

The evening then moves to Cocoa XO on the 57th floor for dessert, where a glass of chocolate grappa is paired with a selection of four handcrafted chocolates. To conclude the experience, couples ascend to Cru Champagne Bar on the 59th floor, where sweeping views across Bangkok provide the setting for a final glass of Champagne as the city lights come alive.

The Retreat Koh Chang
The Retreat Koh Chang and The Chill Resort & Spa Koh Chang has appointed a new executive chef, Panyalertrak Jeerawat.

Chef Panyalertrak's journey began at an early age. His first memory in the kitchen was at just six years old, cooking rice for his family under the guidance of his mother. This formative experience instilled a lifelong belief that food should be prepared with care, intention and heart. For him, the greatest reward remains the simple joy of seeing guests happy, an enduring reminder that cooking is not merely a profession, but a true calling.
At The Retreat Koh Chang, chef Panyalertrak is deeply committed to sustainability and locality. He works closely with local fishermen to source fresh seafood from surrounding waters, incorporating daily catches such as fish and crab into his menus. His connection to ingredients extends across the resort grounds, where he has developed an expansive fruit and farm garden that produces tropical fruits, organic vegetables, and a wide variety of Thai herbs, including his personal favourite, lemongrass.
A highlight is his “special dish of the week", inspired by local market finds and garden harvests. He is also attuned to global dining trends, with a particular passion for creating innovative and flavourful vegan dishes to meet the growing demand for plant-based cuisine.
Yaari
The Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur, which opens later in the year, will include Yaari by Garima Arora, chef-owner of Bangkok’s two-Michelin-starred Restaurant Gaa.

The menu will feature refined chaats, elevating one of India’s most beloved street foods into an artful expression of texture and spice. The menu will retain its interactive spirit with a dessert menu inspired by traditional mithais while refining its precision and presentation.
“Yaari will celebrate the extraordinary diversity of Indian cuisine in ways that feel both authentic and contemporary,” said chef Garima Arora. “Yaari is born from my passion for storytelling through food, celebrating heritage, creativity and the joyful experience of sharing a meal. I am eager to welcome guests to explore these progressive concepts in the dynamic culinary landscape of Kuala Lumpur.”
