Waldorf Astoria Bangkok will welcome Singapore’s Burnt Ends, led by chef-owner Dave Pynt, who brings his signature fire-driven cooking to Bull & Bear, The Loft and The Champagne Bar on Sept 9-10. Savour lunch and dinner with wine pairings. The experience extends beyond the dining room to The Loft, where the Burnt Ends Bar team will takeover for a guest bartender experience across both evenings.

Uno Mas at Centara Grand at CentralWorld will host its signature Champagne Brunch on Sept 6, showcasing Spanish flavours, premium seafood, free-flow Champagne, and panoramic views across the Bangkok skyline. Created by chef de cuisine Borja Terry Borrego, the brunch offers chilled seafood, including Alaskan king crab, Maine lobster, oysters and prawns, complemented by freshly carved Jamón Ibérico, an extensive selection of tapas and Spanish favourites prepared à la minute. Signature highlights such as A5 Kobe beef sashimi and a rotating selection of seasonal creations complete the menu. Guests can enjoy free-flow Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut.

Culinary collab / Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park x Man Ho Chinese Restaurant, Chengdu / Until Aug 31
Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park will host chef Leo Cao from Man Ho Chinese Restaurant, JW Marriott Hotel Chengdu. Until Aug 31, diners at Pagoda Chinese Restaurant and Goji Kitchen + Bar can savour a selection of barbecued and slow-roasted meats. At Pagoda, chef Cao's signature barbecue dishes, Man Ho special crispy chicken can be accompanied with Tie Guan Yin oolong tea or Follador prosecco, while Crispy pork belly is complemented with floral chrysanthemum tea or subtly sweet Saar Selbach Kabinett Traditional Riesling from Germany. The slow-roasted Chinese specialties are also offered as part of the weekday and weekend dinner buffets, Saturday lunch or Sunday brunch at Goji Kitchen + Bar.
Summer auction / Goldin / Sept 9
Following the recent detection of a box containing unreleased versions of Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt, the online event brings the first Nintendo Wire find to public auction. This 1988 NES Nintendo Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt (USA) Cartridge and Manual received a perfect 10 grading, a first in PSA history for any cartridge. Goldin's Summer Pop Culture Elite offers more than 400 trading cards, 280 video games, 270 comics and magazines, alongside more than 250 pop culture toys, and 50 vinyl records and VHS tapes. Spanning franchises from Nintendo and Pokémon to beloved characters like Superman and Harry Potter to cultural figures such as Metallica and Bob Ross, Goldin’s Summer Pop Culture Elite Auction encompasses memorabilia for all pop culture collectors. The auction is open for regular bidding on Sept 9.
TIWF 2026 / Impact Exhibition and Convention Center / Sept 16–18
The Thailand International Woodworking & Furniture Exhibition 2026 (TIWF 2026) will return as Thailand’s largest international trade exhibition dedicated to the woodworking and furniture industries. TIWF 2026 will showcase the latest innovations, advanced technologies, machinery, materials, designs and manufacturing solutions. Wine play / Avani Ratchada Bangkok / Sept 4
Avani Ratchada Bangkok will offer a tasting of Portugal's most historic wine regions at Wine Play: Dão Discovery, on Sept 4 at Metro Lounge. This edition of Wine Play brings together two respected producers from the region, Quinta de Cabriz and União das Adegas Cooperativas do Dão (UDACA). The selection features white and red wines produced from native Portuguese grape varieties, including Encruzado and Touriga Nacional, each reflecting the identity of this remarkable wine region. Served as a two-hour free-flow experience, the evening is complemented by a variety of cheeses, cold cuts, fresh oysters and canapés, alongside live jazz.
Spanish night / Albricias x La Malifeta / Aug 28
Albricias at Chatrium Sathon Bangkok joins forces with La Malifeta Vermuteria for "Spanish Night Meets Vermouth”, a one-night-only dining experience celebrating the lively spirit of Spanish gastronomy and the versatility of vermouth. Aug 28 brings together a six-course Spanish menu, with each dish matched with a distinctive Spanish vermouth to create a journey of flavours from the first bite to dessert. The evening begins in the relaxed surroundings of La Terraza, before the night continues inside Albricias.
Afternoon tea / Park Hyatt Bangkok / Sept 1-2
Park Hyatt Bangkok will offer a new Signature Afternoon Tea on Sept 1-2 served by chef Jeffrey Tan of JT Pâtisserie, Penang, Malaysia. Chef Tan will join chef Fabrizio Zarate to present an afternoon tea inspired by their respective culinary journeys and shaped by the artistry of modern pâtisserie. The tea will be served till Nov 14.
New exhibition / Fujifilm House Of Photography / Sept 5-28
Vanont Ruksiriphong, also known as “Kiu,” was born in Sikhio District, Nakhon Ratchasima. He is a watercolour artist, illustrator, photographer and part-time art lecturer. Vanont began his professional career as an illustrator before moving into photography. His practice encompasses urban sketching, architectural painting, portraiture and nature, alongside his watercolour work. Vanont's latest exhibition, “Shade” opens at Fujifilm House Of Photography on Sept 5 and will be on display till Sept 28. “Shade” invites viewers to reconsider their own act of seeing and asks whether what gives an image meaning is not simply the subject itself, but the “shade” of light that changes the way we perceive it.

Rossini's at Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit will host a Tuscan wine dinner on Aug 28. Conceived as far more than a traditional wine dinner, the evening unfolds as a journey through one of Italy's most storied culinary regions. Each course unites authentic Tuscan ingredients, refined Italian craftsmanship and expressive wines chosen to reveal the distinctive character of their terroir.
Lapita Festival 2027 / Dual / Aug 28
Lapita, the Japan-based artist booking and management agency, announces the Lapita Festival 2027 Thailand Pre-Party at Dual on Aug 28. The night brings eight acts from Thailand, Japan, India and Korea together across two rooms. The main room features Bangkok’s Sunju Hargun, who is joined by a live set from New Delhi’s Monophonik. From Japan, Paramount residents Mimu and Nico join forces for a B2B set, with Hidai completing the room. In the creature room, Thailand’s Elaheh and bunnyman.dogs meet Yellowuhuru, Ormside Projects and the Open Air Stage at rural 2026, and Seoul’s Kugel.

Friday night lights / Nan Bei
Nan Bei at the Rosewood Bangkok introduces the “Friday Night Table”, a dining experience celebrating Chinese cuisine every other Friday of the month. The menu celebrates authentic flavours and culinary traditions from northern and southern China, complemented by crafted cocktails, wine and Champagne, and a lively soundtrack. Led by executive chef Matthew Geng, the Friday Night Table menu is designed for sharing, featuring Nan Bei’s signature Tamarind flaming duck, presented tableside, alongside house-made dim sum, Rou jia mo, a barbecued platter, Crispy organic chicken with star anise salt and a choice of Blue crab claypot rice, claypot braised eggplant with basil or Dan dan noodles with sesame sauce.

Weekends call for good food and time around the table, and Ventisi at Centara Grand at CentralWorld brings together with its International Grand Dinner Buffets every Friday and Saturday. From prime cuts and unlimited foie gras to Alaskan crab and oysters. The buffet brings together seafood on ice, live cooking and carving stations, made-to-order specialities, Thai and international dishes, artisan cheeses, cold cuts and desserts. Guests can also enjoy unlimited foie gras prepared to order, as well as a complimentary half lobster per person. Friday Gaucho Night puts beef cuts from the carving station, charcuterie and artisan cheeses at the forefront. Highlights include Beef tartare and Beef carpaccio, followed by favourites such as Korean-style short rib, Beef Wellington, Prime rib and Boeuf bourguignon. This means that guests can use their resort credit to splurge on whatever they choose within the hotel. For bookings made until Sept 30, for stays through July 25, 2027.
New hotel / Asai Gamuda Cove
Dusit Hotels and Resorts will introduce Asai Hotels to Malaysia, with the opening of Asai Gamuda Cove on Sept 15. The 13-storey hotel is within the 1,530-acre Gamuda Cove township, some 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The largest Asai property to date, it is also Dusit’s second hotel in Malaysia, following Dusit Princess Melaka, and the first Asai hotel to open outside a city neighbourhood. It sits beside the 449.61 hectares Paya Indah Discovery Wetlands, a nature reserve and wildlife sanctuary. Options range from compact rooms to balcony rooms, bunk-bed configurations, and a two-room family category sleeping up to six guests. The hotel features an infinity pool, a gym, co-working areas, flexible meeting and event spaces accommodating up to 100 people, and three dining venues centred on Malaysian flavours, complemented by Thai and international dishes. Visa submission ease / VFS Global x UK Embassy
With demand for travel from Thailand to the UK continuing to grow, VFS Global now offers Premium Application Centres (Pacs) in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya and Phuket, and Mobile Visa Application Centres (Mvac) at Siam Paragon Mall, Icon Siam Mall and Thanya Park in Bangkok. Both centres operate in accordance with the processes and guidelines established by the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). To book an appointment at Pacs or Mvacs, select a preferred location while applying for a UK visa online. Applicants need to pre-book appointments online and complete the payment process online.

Mini Thailand recently unveiled the Mini Aceman Collections, introducing three limited editions: Mini Aceman SE Multitone Collection, Mini Aceman SE Shadow Collection and the Mini Aceman SE JCW Collection.
