Beyond tapas / Eat Spain Drink Spain / Until Oct 4
The Economic and Commercial Office of Embassy Spain in Bangkok announces the return of “Eat Spain Drink Spain Thailand 2026”, with a month-long celebration of Spanish food, wine and culture across Thailand. Throughout September and October, restaurants, bars, retailers and other participating venues will bring Spain closer to Thailand through special menus, masterclasses, events and promotions. Events will take place mainly in Bangkok, but are also available in Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and selected supermarkets across Thailand. The programme spans everything from tapas and paella to regional cuisine, wine, cava and vermouth. The Allium Bangkok brings Spanish flavours to its Spanish Social Nights, while MoVida Bangkok presents La Anchoa del Norte alongside a limited-time menu of Spanish dishes rarely available in Thailand. Paleta Unit 102 celebrates Iberian ham and cheese, while La Malifeta Vermuteria puts the spotlight on la hora del vermouth culture with Los Clásicos: Croquetas y Tortilla. Spanish drinking and dining traditions continue at Uno Mas with Tapas & Paella Night and Domingo Fabuloso! Sunday Brunch, while Cante celebrates Tiempo de la Caña with chistorra, patatas bravas and Estrella Galicia, the original Spanish beer. Taburete hosts Tapas & Estrella Damm, as well as evenings dedicated to Spanish wine, tapas and Catalan desserts, while Cagette Canteen & Deli explores Spain’s sparkling wine tradition with a Spanish Cava Masterclass. Lotus’s celebrates Spain with special offers on selected La Rambla and Ybarra olive oils, vinegars, olives and artichokes until Oct 14. At Gourmet Market, selected La Rambla products are available through special prices and Buy One Get One Free offers until Sept 23.
Negroni week / Diplomat Bar / Until Sept 25
Diplomat Bar at Conrad Bangkok presents “The Diplomatic Negroni Flight”, a month-long exploration of the classic Negroni through four distinct interpretations. The collection explores the relationship between spirit, flavour and technique, bringing together contrasting ingredients and influences across four expressions: Crimson Accord, The Bitter Ambassador, Diplomatic Coffee and Scarlet Olive. The series concludes on Sept 25 with “The Fifth Encounter”, an exclusive evening featuring a collaborative fifth creation developed especially for the occasion, alongside guest bartender Supaktorn “Oak” Ramrauy of Le Du Kaan. Live jazz shapes the early evening before giving way to a late-night DJ performance.
Oktoberfest returns / Beer Republic / Sept 19 to Oct 25
Lederhosen, a Homburg hat and a cool glass of hoppy goodness at Beer Republic at Holiday Inn Bangkok will help celebrate "Oktoberfest 2026". The Oktoberfest menu, available from Sept 19 to Oct 25, once again showcases Teutonic favourites such as traditional Bratwurst pork hot dogs enjoyed with house-made sauerkraut, and classic Wiener Schnitzel breaded pork escalope served with fries, lemon and cucumber salad. Also supremely tasty are stand-out signatures such as the Bavarian Wurst Plate with grilled Kasekrainer cheese sausage and plump Munchner and Bauerbratwurst sausages, plus Schweinshaxe, which is a sharing dish of iconic Bavarian crispy pork knuckle. All are complemented by a serving of Bratkartoffeln, or pan-fried potatoes with onion and bacon, and authentic sides of homemade sauerkraut, potato dumpling and rich gravy. To wash the feast down, Beer Republic is serving German draught beers. Chief among the stellar suds available are Hofbrau Munchner Weisse and Maisel’s Weisse wheat beers, a special Hofbrau Oktoberfestbier lager and a delicious Franziskaner Hefe Weissbier Dunkel.

Côte by Mauro Colagreco at Capella Bangkok celebrates its sixth anniversary with a four-day menu from Oct 1-4. Bringing together a series of new seasonal creations, the anniversary menu reflects Côte as it is today shaped by six years of discovery, evolving relationships with Thailand’s ingredients and producers, and the Mediterranean philosophy that has guided the restaurant since its opening in 2020. The eight-course anniversary menu reflects Côte as it is today.

Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie, Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, celebrates its first anniversary with a seven-course tasting menu, available for lunch and dinner until Sept 27. The Anniversary Voyage brings back two dishes from the restaurant’s opening menu: Blue lobster with red fruits and Roasted rack of lamb. Chef Pic’s signature Berlingots feature floral pasta filled with local cow’s cheese, accompanied by geranium, bergamot and maitake consommé. A caviar supplement, comprising three courses featuring Oscietra caviar from Kaviari, is also available.

Photography exhibition / 137 Pillars House Chiang Mai / Sept 19 to Oct 19
137 Pillars House Chiang Mai will showcase a curated photography exhibition at its museum showcasing rare, vintage images featured in the landmark two-volume book “Heritage Hotels Of Asia”, published by World Scientific Publishing Singapore. As the sole property in Chiang Mai qualified for inclusion in the volume, 137 Pillars House provides an authentically historic backdrop for the showcase. Built in the late 19th century as the northern headquarters of the Borneo Company, the award-winning teak homestead stands today as a prime example of architectural preservation and regional heritage hospitality. The upcoming exhibition offers visitors a visual journey through Asia’s most celebrated historic properties, highlighting the architecture, character, and legacy of grand hotels across the region. The exhibition is free and open to the public daily from Sept 19 to Oct 19 at 137 Pillars House Chiang Mai. The exhibition will culminate on Oct 19 with an and discussion led by Kenneth Barrett, author of the book. Barrett will share rare insights into the history of Asian hospitality, the evolution of heritage tourism, and his extensive research documenting these historic gems. The special talk will take place at The Dining Room within the resort.

Salmon books / Avani Ratchada Bangkok / Until Nov 20
As part of its ongoing Avani Book Club, created to celebrate the joy of reading and bring books into everyday experiences, Avani Ratchada Bangkok hosted Salmon Books’ First Edition Prize 2026 at Metro Lounge in August. The winning novel, which is in Thai, is set during a summer when the rain arrives later than usual. As the water recedes, three wooden steps that have long been submerged slowly reappear, together with something within the protagonist’s mother that seems to be returning. The story connects the changing seasons with memory, relationships and wounds from the past. It will be published by Salmon Books in 2027. The collaboration continues at Metro Lounge until Nov 20 with a curated selection of Salmon Books titles and exclusive merchandise. Guests who purchase a book will receive one complimentary coffee or tea to enjoy at Metro Lounge.

Pattaya Marriott Resort and Spa will host the “Crystal Sound Healing Experience” in a rooftop setting overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, as the setting sun casts its golden rays across the sea. Staged on Sept 26, the immersive experience is led by certified crystal sound healing therapist Somchai “Khun Nene” Phetruen, who will lead participants on a spiritual journey. Bottega Veneta presents “Il Mio”, introducing the portrait series of bags and their wearers photographed by Drew Vickers under the creative direction of Louise Trotter. Named after the Italian expression for “what belongs to me”, Il Mio celebrates the relationship between a treasured object and the person who has chosen it. New version / Disney+
Disney+ has introduced a new Disney+ app in Thailand, offering new features and updates for subscribers. The new app brings more personalised recommendations, an enhanced viewing experience and new parental controls. Disney+ subscribers will be prompted to download the new app and sign in using their existing account credentials. Most interestingly, you can enjoy eligible titles in Imax Enhanced and customise subtitles by adjusting the font, size, colour and background to suit the way you watch. The app also now supports up to 25 audio and subtitle languages (including Thai), plus high-quality video and sound on supported devices. On-screen prompts will guide them through account confirmation and profile setup. Subscribers in Thailand can enjoy Hollywood blockbuster titles alongside the local and Asian storytelling through a growing collection of Apac Originals and global entertainment on Disney+ and Hulu.
