UOB Thailand has officially concluded the second edition of its signature Wonder Lab initiative, honouring three standout youth teams for their visionary approaches to sustainability communications.
Designed to bridge the gap between emerging creative talent and corporate leaders, UOB Wonder Lab challenges young minds to tackle real-world business briefs with strategic, human-centric storytelling.
This year's edition focused primarily on demystifying complex environmental and social governance issues, transforming abstract corporate goals into engaging choices that resonate with everyday consumers.
The competitive process saw Team Just The Case win top honours for the DHL Express challenge, while Team Krai Sen claimed victory for the DKSH challenge, and Team Catalyst-five secured the winning proposal for Häfele Thailand.
Guided by seasoned industry mentors, participants spent weeks dissecting consumer behaviour, analysing audience needs and navigating practical corporate constraints. Through rigorous feedback loops, the students developed actionable campaigns that demonstrate how commercial viability and sustainable practices can seamlessly co-exist.
The second edition of UOB Wonder Lab generated widespread interest across the country, attracting applications from 171 teams representing 688 young people across Thailand.
Following a competitive initial evaluation, 15 teams were selected to enter the intensive Impact Academy, where they received specialised training and mentorship. Ultimately, nine shortlisted teams advanced to the Final Pitch stage to present their finalised strategic blueprints to an expert judging panel.
Feedback gathered from participants confirmed significant gains in both industry knowledge and practical execution during the programme.
An overwhelming 94.5% of surveyed participants reported a deeper understanding of sustainable marketing strategies, while 92.7% cited marked improvements in their broader marketing capabilities.
Furthermore, every single respondent confirmed noticeable progress in structured thinking, idea development and public presentation skills.
