Apple has announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026 will take place from June 8 to 12, with a strong focus expected on artificial intelligence, new software updates and developer tools.

The event will be streamed live from Apple Park and made available online. In Thailand, the keynote is expected to begin at 1.00am on June 9 local time.

Apple is widely expected to unveil new versions of its operating systems, including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, watchOS 27 and visionOS 27, alongside potential new products and updates to its Apple Intelligence features.

The company said the conference would highlight major advancements in AI, with significant platform updates, new software capabilities and tools designed specifically for app developers.

If no further delays occur, an upgraded version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence could be officially reintroduced at the event. The new Siri is expected to better understand user behaviour and on-screen content, a feature first previewed in 2024 but postponed after Apple deemed it not yet ready following performance testing.

There is also speculation that Apple may unveil a chatbot-style version of Siri, reportedly under development to compete with ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude. This version is expected to feature generative AI capabilities, potentially taking advantage of the processing power of Gemini models integrated into Apple’s own foundation models.

However, Apple’s definition of AI advancements may extend beyond Siri alone. The company could introduce a broader range of Apple Intelligence features at the conference.

Further details are expected to be revealed during the WWDC 2026 keynote on June 9 at 1.00am Thailand time.
