Lee Cronin’s The Mummy

Directed by Lee Cronin.

Who’s in it? 

Jack Reynor, Laia Costa and Natalie Grace.

What’s it about? 

The young daughter of a journalist disappears into the desert without a trace. Eight years later, the broken family is shocked when she is returned to them, as what should be a joyful reunion turns into a living nightmare.

Lee Cronin cites the horror film Poltergeist (1982) and the mystery film Seven (1995) as an influence on the story.

Miwarashi sedai (Brand New Landscape)

Directed by Danzuka Yuiga.

Kodai Kurosaki, Kenichi Endo, Haruka Igawa and Mai Kiryu.

What’s it about? 

In bustling Tokyo, Ren delivers delicate orchids across the city, carrying the weight of his mother's absence and years of silence between him and his father, until one delivery changes everything.

A high-stakes highway mystery involving a dangerous "black bike" culprit pursued by Chihaya Hagiwara, with themes of speed, action and danger.
