The Royal Thai Navy held the eighth rehearsal of the Royal Barge Procession in Bangkok, involving 2,200 personnel and 52 royal barges in a formation stretching 1,280 metres. Originally scheduled for Oct 2, 2026, the rehearsal was postponed to Oct 5 because of flooding and persistent rain in the capital.

The rehearsal was part of preparations for the procession to Wat Arun on Nov 6, when His Majesty the King will present the royal Kathin robes. The procession is being held in celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s 48th birthday.
