Tha It Mosque community trapped by floods
For years, residents around Tha It Mosque, or Masjid Tha It, along the Chao Phraya River in Nonthaburi province have been living with recurring floods.
The reason? A missing section of the flood barrier wall that remains unfinished—all due to an ongoing compensation dispute with a single local property owner whose demands reportedly far exceed official valuations.
Every time the high tide hits, water surges straight into the community in Pak Kret district, leaving locals to face the consequences year after year.
